The crazy lead-up to E3 this year has been especially hectic.  The video team at DICE was represented at E3 in Los Angeles by four trailers.  This is the first and the one that had was responsible for more than a few of my late nights.  Big thanks once again to all involved – especially Noken, Minto, Smitty, and Drew.

24-hour Timelapse (5pm to 5pm) June 5th-6th 2010

It doesn’t get too dark this time of year. Shot at Norra Lagnö – about 25 mins outside of Stockholm. Yes, it’s six minutes long – but it’s worth it. Stay for the sunrise at least. Nearly 9000 stills. Every 10 seconds. For 24 hours.

I was lucky enough to be in downtown Vancouver with my Canon 7D after winning gold in men’s Olympic hockey. Incredible. Epic. Fun as hell.

Shot with my new Canon 7D.  I had it with me in the heart of downtown Vancouver after Team Canada won gold in men’s hockey.  An incredible day.  Winning the gold was one thing – but the energy and vibe downtown afterwords was simply amazing.  A perfect end to an incredible Olympics.

I picked up my new Canon 7D and along with lots of trimmings in Arizona.  Headed straight out to enjoy the sunshine, golf, and my new ridiculously shallow depth of field.  Love it.  Will post some tests just for fun sometime soon.  The first big shoot will be in Vancouver at the 2010 Winter Olympics.  Here’s a list below of some of the gear I picked up:

I’m heading to the Olympics!  No podium for me, but I will be back “home” in Vancouver for the last week of February to catch a little taste of Olympic fever.  Just booked my ticket.  A quick stop in Arizona en route to meet my folks and pick up some gear – including my Canon 7D!  Am I more excited for the 7D or the Olympics?  Not really sure.

EA DICE | Battlefield Bad Company 2: Singleplayer Reveal Trailer

The BFBC2 singleplayer trailer is finally out there on the internets.  A long time in the making – it went through several versions before we landed on this.  Seems the kids are liking it – over 500 000 views in less than a week on Gametrailers.com, a 9.7 rating, and 2500 comments.  Not bad.  Fun cutting to QOTSA.  Big props to the BC2 team for the extra tweaks and polish and especially to Marcus “Snoken” Johansson for all the help.

BRB Music Video | Telaphones – Wellingtons

A B-Roll Brothers production.  My first shoot with the Canon 5d mkii.  L-series glass.  4 hours hands-on with the camera before call time.  10 hours straight shooting through the night.  No camera support.  All handheld.  True run-and-gun.  Exhausting.  But it’s what got me excited about shooting on DSLR’s.
